I'm with stupid / Band
De Utrechtse reggaerock band I’m with Stupid is het afgelopen jaar uitgegroeid tot vaste waarde binnen de Nederlandse surf- en skatescene. De band, onder leiding van Kristian O., stond op festivals zoals Surfana, Psy-fi, Lalaland en Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht. Daarnaast stonden ze in het voorprogramma van The Skatalites en The Toasters. I’m With Stupid staat bekend om hun kenmerkende, groovy mix van rock, reggae en dub muziek; nooit bang om te jammen op het podium. De basis is vertrouwde, zomerse reggae, maar bij I’m With Stupid gaat dat altijd samen met het experiment: verrassende wendingen in stijl en tekst, met nummers die je doen dansen en lyrics die je laten nadenken. Op 18 februari 2017 kwam de gloednieuwe EP uit: Everybody Is Strange. Een zomerse verzameling nieuwe nummers, en een ode aan alle buitenbeentjes en weirdos. Deze EP is een opmaat naar meer optredens, meer muziek, en meer I’m With Stupid. I’m with Stupid bestaat uit zes leden (zanger/gitarist Kristian O., bassist Mr. E, gitarist Lowilowilowi, drummer The Guido’s en saxofonisten/multi-instrumentalisten Ben en Barend).

Een Ska/reggea/rock band zoals je ze het liefste ziet. Jonge, gedreven gasten die een heerlijke sound neerzetten met o.a. blazers, gitaren en drumstel.
Ze lieten mensen op het Vurige Tongen festival meteen dansen en de zon schijnen. Het profiel geeft de kwaliteit goed weer van de act!
