ZEM, geeft harpmuziek een compleet nieuw geluid: van Beethoven tot Jimi Hendrix, van Brassens tot Patti Smith.
Klassiek geschoolde harpiste en songwriter ZEM zingt haar eigen songs & composities en die van haar helden, begeleid door haar semi-elektrische harp en percussie - als een one-womens-band.
Tijdens haar allereerste optreden won ZEM de TV5 Monde Publieksprijs.
Geboren in Ethiopië, opgegroeid in België, klassiek van opleiding, vernieuwend van roeping, hiphop als roots, Franse chansons als guilty pleasure, blues als beleving, jazz als ritme, soul als profetie: ZEM!

ZEM, Harpiste & Chanteuse - Classique et Iconoclaste ZEM, donne à la musique de harpe un son complètement nouveau: de Beethoven à Jimi Hendrix, de Brassens à Patti Smith. Harpiste de formation classique et auteur-compositeur ZEM chante ses propres chansons et celles de ses héros, accompagnée de sa harpe semi-électrique et ses percussions - comme une one-womans-band.
Lors de sa toute première performance ZEM remporte le Prix Public de TV5 Monde.
Née en Ethiopie, grandi en Belgique, classique par éducation, innovant par vocation, hip-hop comme racines, chansons Françaises comme plaisir coupable, blues comme expérience, jazz comme rythme, soul comme prophétie : ZEM !

Classically trained harpist and songwriter ZEM sings her own songs & compositions and those of her heroes, accompanied by her semi-electric harp and percussion - as a one-women band.
During her very first performance, ZEM won the TV5 Monde Audience Award.

Het was een zorgeloze ervaring maar vooral prachtig optreden!
Het optreden van ZEM bij onze Probus Club was een groot succes.
De combinatie van het prachtige harpspel met haar mooie teksten was voor velen van ons een zelfs ontroerende beleving!
De afwisseling van de verschillende genres in haar repertoire maakte haar performance zeer boeiend.
Vooral haar Franstalige chansons vielen erg goed in de smaak.
