Registration

Registering at Gigstarter can be done on our website. You can directly go to the registration page to create a Gigstarter account.

Once you've signed up, you'll need to verify your account. We will send you an email to confirm your email address. Clicking the link in that email confirms your account. From that moment on, you can create one or more artist profiles. If your account has been confirmed and you are logged in, click the Create artist button in the menu.

Enter an artist name, enter information about the act, and place media material on your profile. If your profile is complete we will be notified. We will approve your profile as soon as possible.

Do you want to change your email address or password from your login details? You can do this in your account settings. When you want to change your password, you write down your desired password under the label new password and confirm new password. Also, fill in the box with current password. When you want to change your e-mail, you can enter your new e-mail under the label email address. To change your email you also have to fill in your current password. We send a confirmation e-mail to the new email address. In this e-mail is a link which have to be clicked to change the email address.

First of all, it's important that your profile represents you and your music. After all, this is the first impression you make on potential bookers. A complete profile has a clear profile picture, a short description about you as the artist, a YouTube video of a live performance and 3 audio files (DJ's need to upload at least 2 audio files/sets).

If you have your own website, we advise you to put the Gigstarter widget on it. This is a book-me button that links your website to your Gigstarter profile. This increases the chance of getting bookings and it makes you easier to find online. Find more information about placing a widget here.

The Call to Action button on Facebook is a handy tool to attain more bookings. It's only possible to add this button on a Facebook page, and not to a personal Facebook profile.
The Call to Action button will refer interested bookers to your profile on Gigstarter.

Gigstarter can easily be used as a booking management tool for managers and agencies. You can centralise all the bookings of your artists. You can manage one profile with a free account, and 5 profiles with a PRO membership. The PRO+ membership allows you to benefit from a Manager account when dealing with more than 3 profiles and allows you to go internationalcheck this link for more information. This way you can manage all the bookings of all your artists with a single account and get an overview of all the feedback on the website.

Signing up at Gigstarter is free. A free profile gives a good indication of your act.

However, it is also possible to upgrade your profile by purchasing a PRO or PRO Plus membership at Gigstarter. As a PRO artist, you get more out of Gigstarter because you can respond to local calls, appear on the calendar on the homepage, and add more photos, videos, and reviews to your profile from people who book you outside of Gigstarter.

When your profile is complete, The Gigstarter team will approve your profile. It usually takes five working days before we've reviewed your profile. You will receive an email from us when we approve your profile. You will also get an email if your profile isn't complete yet, so that we can offer a helping hand.

To be found through the Gigstarter search engine, your profile must be indexed. Every night we automatically index all new profiles, so alll approved profiles will show up on the search results 24 hours after approval.

Hopefully, we will never get to this point, but if you want to delete your account from Gigstarter, follow these simple steps:

  2. Scroll down to the end of the page
  3. Press the “Delete my user account” button, which will appear in red
  4. Your account was successfully deleted, however, it takes at least 24 hours for our system to implement the changes

Hopefully we will never get to this point, but if you want to unsubscribe from Gigstarter, you can send an email to info@gigstarter.nl. We will then delete your profile.
