Zayna Esuo / Solo artist
Zayna Esuo is opgegroeid tussen Londense soulmuzikanten en het werd al gauw duidelijk dat ze in haar vaders voetsporen zou treden. Vanaf haar vier jaar was ze al aanwezig in de studio en ging ze mee naar live optredens. Vanaf haar 12 jaar ging ze dan ook meteen haar muziekstudies beginnen aan het MUDA in Evergem. Haar secundaire opleiding jazz pop maakte ze uiteindelijk af aan de Kunsthumaniora Brussel . Nu studeert ze bachelor Pop zang aan het KASK in Gent. Ze zit nu ook in de band D-urbanites als front Woman maar schittert ook als solo artieste met een wat meer intiemere manier van zingen.
Zayna schrijft teksten die het leven van een jonge vrouw weerspiegelen, met al haar uitdagingen en emoties: van de druk van school tot de complexiteit van familie, van de magie van de liefde tot de onvermijdelijke hartzeer. Haar teksten raken, haar stem ontroert en haar energie op het podium is niets minder dan meeslepend. Maar ook zingt ze covers : jazz standards zoals bye bye Blackbird , fly me to the moon , summertime , misty , enz... tot soul en R'n'B zoals bag lady , appletree , ex-factor , if I Ain't got you en nog zo veel meer.
